A Rainy Summer Wedding at LBI National| NJ Wedding Videographer
A little rain couldn’t take away from this beautiful late June wedding at LBI National Golf & Resort. From an emotional private vow exchange to an intimate indoor ceremony, this wedding was a perfect example of how an unexpected change in weather can still lead to an incredible wedding day.
As New Jersey wedding videographers, we always love filming weddings at LBI National. Located just outside Long Beach Island in Little Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, the venue offers a beautiful setting for couples planning a coastal South Jersey wedding while still having elegant indoor spaces available when the weather doesn’t cooperate.
For this couple, the rain simply became part of their story.
A Rainy Wedding Day at LBI National
Late June usually brings thoughts of sunshine and outdoor ceremonies, but New Jersey weather always has other plans.
Rain moved this couple’s ceremony indoors, but the change didn’t take away from the atmosphere of the day. If anything, the indoor setting helped create a warm and intimate feeling for the ceremony while everyone stayed comfortable and dry.
One of the benefits of getting married at LBI National is having options when the weather changes. Couples can plan for the outdoor scenery while knowing there are indoor spaces available if rain makes an outdoor ceremony impossible.

With the rain continuing outside, the ceremony was moved indoors at LBI National.
The indoor ceremony kept the day moving without forcing the couple or their guests to worry about the weather. More importantly, the focus remained exactly where it belonged: on the couple getting married.
For couples considering an LBI National wedding, having a solid rain plan is especially important. Weather near the Jersey Shore can change quickly, and knowing your venue has an indoor alternative can remove a lot of unnecessary stress from the wedding day.

Cloudy and rainy conditions can actually produce some of the softest natural light of the day.
Most importantly, your wedding film should tell the story of the wedding that actually happened. If rain was part of that story, there’s no reason to hide it.
What Happens if It Rains at an LBI National Wedding?
If rain prevents an outdoor ceremony or portraits, LBI National offers indoor spaces that allow the celebration to continue.

The combination of the property, natural surroundings, indoor spaces and reception setting gives us opportunities to create a wedding film with several different looks without requiring the couple to spend a large portion of their wedding day traveling between locations.
It’s also conveniently located for couples who love the Long Beach Island area but want the amenities and flexibility of a full wedding venue.

Every wedding day has something unexpected.
